In the picture, an online advertisement is offering concert tickets at a price that is far below the normal cost, such as a hundred dollars for a very popular show. The price is suspicious because tickets for such concerts usually cost several times more and sell out within minutes. The post also uses urgent words like 'limited' and 'today only' to rush people into buying. What I also noticed is that the seller is an unfamiliar account rather than an official ticketing website.

There are several checks students can do. We can look at whether the account is official and verified, and how long it has existed, because scam accounts are usually new with very few genuine posts. We can also search the same offer online to see whether the official website or a news report mentions it. Most importantly, we should ask an adult before sending money or personal details, because scams are designed to make you act fast, and simply slowing down is often enough to see through them.

Common mistakes on this kind of question

Only praising the technologyA strong answer names one drawback too — that is what shows balanced thinking.
Naming the device but not its useSay what the technology actually does for the person using it.
Forgetting peopleTechnology topics are really about people — who is helped, and who is left behind.
Answering in one line"Yes, I would." A full answer needs a reason and an example — aim for three or four sentences.
No reason givenEvery opinion needs a "because". Without it, the answer sounds like a guess.

Parent script — how to run this in 10 minutes

  1. Show the picture. Say nothing for 30 seconds.
  2. Ask Q1 exactly as written. Count to five in your head before you help.
  3. After the answer, ask "why?" once more. That single word usually doubles the answer.
  4. Repeat for the remaining questions.
  5. Finish with one thing that was good and one thing to try next time. Only one of each.
